When the people sat around on the porch and passed around the pictures of their thoughts for the others to look at and see, it was nice. The fact that the thought pictures were always crayon enlargements of life made it even nicer to listen to. -- Zora Neale Hurston

The next morning, I did a run through the heart of P'town in the rain and met with my condo mates for the week, Dan and Tom, for breakfast. The afternoon was clear and beautiful, and we spent it strolling down Commercial St, exploring the tourist shops. I walked on to Pilgrim Point to see where the Pilgrims landed before heading across the bay to Plymouth, a site I did not have the chance to visit on my first trip to P'town.
Tuesday was rainy and cold, and a couple of us went with Dan to the little village of Wellfleet, home of the famous Wellfleet oysters, to shop for local produce for a supper than Dan was preparing for everyone on Wednesday night. After shopping, we went out to the harbor in Wellfleet for lunch at The Pearl, where I had maybe the most delicious lobster roll I've ever had.
Wednesday, Gregory and I, the only two in our party interested in activity, at least daytime activity, rented bikes and headed out to ride the trails through the Cape Cod National Seashore.
